Black Dog Ride – Clementine

I went down to Boyanup today to the home of Unison Limousins to collect Clementine 15. For many years now Unison Stud principal, Kevin Nettleton has supported Black Dog Ride in our efforts to raise awareness of mental illness in the community.

Each year I drop off a heifer which has become too big to take to all points of the compass meeting people young and old. Kevin then ensures she goes in calf and I then collect her and then arrange to market her so she can go into someone else’s paddock and live out her years as a normal cow.

Clementine 15 is a pretty blue roan. Sired by a Shorthorn and out of a Friesian dairy cow she was bred and then donated by Bannister Downs Dairy Farm from Northcliffe. We plan to offer her for sale at the Nutrien Livestock & Breeding WA Mated Female Sale in Boyanup on the 7/12/2023 with all proceeds going to Black Dog Ride.

See the Facebook link here for more stories about Clementine and the work she does to raise awareness of mental illness and suicide prevention.
